A. Stains on the ceiling, blown off or missing shingles, grainals in the gutter.

A. Get several estimates, make sure to be well informed, ask friends and family for any referrals they may have, pick a quality shingle.
Q. My Roof Leaks. Do I Need To Have It Replaced Completely?
A. No, many times small leaks can be fixed and allow you to get many more years of life out of the exsisting shingles.
Q. Can I Do The Work Myself and Save Money?
A. If you don’t make a living by climbing ladders and walking on roof I would not recomend this action. Additionaly you could make things worse and more exspensive to repair.
Q. How Long Can I Expect My Roof System To Last?
A. A properly installed and ventilated roof system sould last anywhere from 20 to 30 years depending on the type of shingles used.
Q. How do I know what type of roofing shingle is best for my roof and my budget?
A. I always recomend using a dimensional shingle, although there is a cheaper 3-tab shingle avalible they don’t stand up to wind very wall.
Q. What will a new roof system cost?
A. This depands on the size of your home, number of layers present, and many other factors. The average midsouth home roof replacement is around $12,00.00
Q. And what if my new roof leaks? Then what?
A. Contact your installer immediatly, any respectable company will return and take care of the problem on the double.
Q. I have vegetation growth (moss/algae) on my roof. Does it need to be replaced or can it be cleaned?
A. Although I’m not a big fan of nor do I perform roof cleaning it is an opption.
Q. How can you tell if a roofer is bad?
A. First question you should always ask a contractor is will they personally be doing the work or at least on sight supervising the work. I always suggest watching out for out of state phone numbers and/or car tags. Make sure they are license, bonded, and insured in the county you live in. As a local contractor I have accounts with suppliers so I don’t ask for money up front.
Q. Can a roof be done in one day?
A. Yes, my crews do most roof replacements in one day.
Q.How many times can you reroof a house?
A. By code you can install up to two layers of shingles on a home, however if your first layer is a dimansional shingle a second layer will not lay correctly. I alway sugget removing the old shingles to inspect the decking and to keep the extra weight off the roof.
